EXAKTE TENDENZEN
From the spring of 1976,
DIETER and GERTRAUD BOGNER brought together like-minded people in the group Exakte
Tendenzen. Artists involved: KURT INGERL, HAROLD and HILDEGARD JOOS,
BRIGITTA MALCHE, OSKAR PUTZ, SABINE WEIGER
The aims of Exakte Tendenzen concern every formal opportunity ‘from the smallest thing to the entire city‘ (Max Bill). Painters, sculptors, architects and everyone who creatively intervenes in their surroundings are invited to take part in exhibitions. These interdisciplinary appearances are intended to contribute to the portrayal and promotion of the connection between constructive thought and artistic creativity. In this context, the problem of artistically integrating geometric colour-shape-structures into specific architectural concepts is one of the most interesting challenges. This outlines the broad area in which the activities of Exakte Tendenzen should be understood. Consequently, the intention is not to propagate an ideologically specified and narrowly limited style; in contrast, the intention is for an open community working on and interested in constructive art and design to emerge.
