This album is the first cross section of the piano works by J. M. Hauer
(1883−1959). The selected compositions provide an insight into his journey from
his atonal early work via his discovery of the twelve-tone method and his systematic
application of the serial technique to his development and perfection of the Zwölftonspiel [Twelve-Tone Game].

From 1983 the name Exakte Tendenzen is replaced by the term Kunstraum
Buchberg. Subsequently, the first permanent site-specific installations are
realized.
