LES ATELIERS DES INTERPRÈTES was a European initiative of young art
historians founded in 1987 and active around 1990, who from 1987 onwards
organised an annual multi-day seminar in a different country each year on
methodical and linguistic issues and problems of contemporary art history and
communicating art history. The aim was to improve international contacts
between junior researchers in art history and related disciplines.
