The Schwarzes Archiv [Black Archive] encompasses
all the archive materials, artist catalogues, photos, films, designs and models
collected over the course of 40 years in connection with the permanent and
temporary site-specific installations. It documents the activities and events
that occurred within the framework of Exakte Tendenzen before and in
parallel with Kunstraum Buchberg.
Furthermore, the archive also houses the
extensive correspondence with artists, planners and craftspeople as well as
most notably a substantial specialist library covering the artistic and art
historical context.
The Schwarzes Archiv can be viewed as an art
space and used as a research centre. The artworks and research materials form a
holistic synthesis.
